Top Lawn knows that your trees and shrubs are just as important to you as your lawn. We care for your growing investments just like we would our own. That is why we have created a seven step tree and shrub care process that is similar to our lawn care process. Our unique approach gives us the ability to provide you the same quality standards and guarantees we offer each and every customer. Only by treating your trees and shrubs throughout the year can you expect to maintain beautiful landscaping to encompass your home and lawn. We use a combination of oils and spray applications every four to six weeks to keep your trees and shrubs looking their best. And we don’t stop there. We have the ability to identify potential problems and take preventative actions before they become hazardous. This combination of anticipation, prevention, and treatment provides not only the best service you can receive, but gives you the confidence to know you will have a beautiful yard for years to come. The first thing in spring to accomplish is a dormant oil spray. This is applied right away after winter to control scale and over wintering insects before they even get the chance to damage your trees and shrubs. We follow that with a spring deep root feeding that will offer a lasting source of nutrients to all of your ornamental trees and shrubs. An additional treatment in early spring is a leaf spray. The spray is applied when many diseases are the most active. Fortunately, this is also when these diseases are most able to be treated. Insects are targeted at this time, as well - at the moment they are starting to emerge as active pests. Finally in late spring is another leaf spray. This is applied because this is the right time for diseases to re-emerge to infect your trees. Not only that, but late spring is the period in which problem insects start to rapidly multiply. Early summer continues the control of harmful leaf chewing and sucking insects like aphids and Japanese beetles. A leaf spray is applied to not only fight these challenges, but also to prevent and control further disease challenges you might experience. By late summer, a final leaf spray is applied for final control of late season insects like mites and webworms. Damage from diseases like powdery mildew and tip blight are also controlled with this spray. As with lawn care, it is important to prepare your trees and shrubs for the late season in the fall. This will provide a long term source of nutrients for all of your ornamental trees as well as shrubs to improve their vigor. It will also provide an increase in resistance to attacks from various insects and diseases. Just like our lawn care service, your satisfaction is guaranteed when we take care of your trees and shrubs. We will always respond personally to your requests if you experience problems, and guarantee we will be out to inspect your trees within two working days of your call - or your next treatment will be free of charge. And don't forget to ask about our custom tree services, such as winter protection, trunk injections, and other specific control programs!
